4 Simple Ways to Improve Your Home Before Re-Sale:
Now, I am no expert, and I do not have a license to sell; however, as the masses have spoken over the years, I have listened. Here are a few common comments Realtors, Investors, and other Shopping Parties have mentioned:
Cohesive / Matching Paint
Unfortunately, unless you are a determined DIYer, most buyers prefer to have a cohesive paint job throughout to ensure that it is cohesive and they do not see any damage or deficiencies on the wall
Cohesive / Matching Trim Work [Casings, Baseboards]
This is always a keen point for those with a keen eye or a higher price point. If you find you have trim that is not cohesive throughout the floors of your home, understand if it is functional and aesthetically pleasing to all, or overall, it is cohesive and flows together.
Cohesive / Matching Hardware
These two types of Hardware for your Interior Doors and Cabinet Doors do not have to match for metal tone, however;
For Door Knobs or Levers
From the type of hardware, including the traditional Knobs or the new, now commonly used Levers
to Cabinet Hardware such as Pulls and Knobs [ideally pulls]
Ensuring the Visual Language is similar, or the Geometry of the different items works well together
Lighting that Speaks to the Architecture of the Home and Demographic of the Neighbourhood
