[Lavatory] Vanity Faucet Terms

Lavatory or Vanity Faucet: Bathroom Sink Tap [Faucet]


Wall Mounted [wall-mounted]: Installed on the Wall with Single or Wide Spread Handle Options


Wide Spread Faucet [8" on centre]: Installed on the Vanity Countertop with Handles 8" on centre apart


4" Spread Faucet: Installed on the Vanity Countertop as a tight Spread with the Handles attached to the Spout


Single Hole Faucet: Installed on the Vanity Countertop with a Single Hole and Handles [or Wave Sensor for Commercial Automatic Faucets]


Vessel Hole Faucet: Required most times when installing a Vessel Sink [on top of Countertop], Extra Tall Vanity Faucet with Handle(s)


Pop Up Drain: Ideal for New Sinks and is activated by a push motion to lift the drain instead of a handle to pull [traditional]


Overflow: Required by Canadian Standards*, this is the small hole near the top of the vanity sink to allow for drainage before the sink overfills
